Apparently, Russia is (to the indignation of the White House) going to sell Iran 29 ‘sophisticated anti-aircraft missiles.’ And a prominent Russian diplomat is saying what pretty much already is the official Russian talking point– that sanctions against Iran would be illegal.

We’ll see what happens with regard to Russia’s relations with the United States, but I think it’s safe to say that Bush isn’t calling Russian President Vladimir Putin by his affectionate Pootie Poot nickname anymore.
