“Reconstruction Corruption”
by Arlen Parsa
The Nation’s blog The Notion has begun a series called Reconstruction Corruption Watch. It’s aims are something I’ve been writing about a great deal here; that being the blatant over-charging and wastes of tax money paid to private contractors to do work in Iraq which could either be done cheaper by the military or Iraqi companies– or work that isn’t being done period. You can bet I’ll be following The Nation’s new series on this and probably linking to it periodically too. This is an issue which should be important to everybody.
You can read their first entry in the series (which is about how Halliburton provided American troops in Iraq with unsafe drinking water– an issue I briefly linked to in ) here.
