Texas Primaries Night- 4 Stories

Tonight is the night of the 2006 Texas primaries. Which means that I’m liveblogging the TX-28 results, in a situation where one real Democrat, Ciro Rodriguez, is trying to defeat the incumbent, a Democrat In Name Only (”DINO”) named Henry Cellular, who has voted with the Republican side more than the Democratic side in Congress.
Meanwhile, indicted former Republican House Majority Leader Tom DeLay is (as expected) winning his primary race against a few other Republican canidates.
Next James, a Texas resident and fellow blogger explains why he’s not voting in this year’s primaries.
And finally? Finally, an NBC affiliate in Texas explains how the President spent “close to quarter of a million dollars” of our tax payer money casting his Republican primary vote.
