Do the Republicans even try to not be mock-worthy anymore?

House Republicans are taking a mulligan on the first ballot for Majority Leader. The first count showed more votes cast than Republicans present at the Conference meeting.

Insert electoral fraud joke here. On a more serious note, John Boehner, besides having a phonetically amusing last name, is quite obviously no better than his corrupt predecessor. Most egregiously he, quite literally, handing out checks from tobacco lobbyists on the House floor. That sort of behavior would make Abramoff wince.
