The President is talking about alternative energy:

Here we have a serious problem: America is addicted to oil, which is often imported from unstable parts of the world.

He says the answer is in “zero-emission coal-fired plants; revolutionary solar and wind technologies; and clean, safe nuclear energy.” ZERO details on how any of this will become the answer. No talk of development, nothing. He’s talking about goals goals goals. ZERO specifics. 22% increase in research– no talk about how much money he wants to give to that. Meanwhile, Congresswoman Louise Slaughter writes that the President’s ‘alternative energy’ plan is a day late and a dollar short.

Did you notice this? It’s NOT ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT. It’s about reducing our dependance on middle east oil. What the hell? He only mentions the environment once, in passing:

this country can dramatically improve our environment

That’s it. ZERO specifics. Nothing. Nada.
